Mail & Guardian Greening The Future Award 2024
Youth4MPAs supported by WILDTRUST, is proud to announce they were nominated and awarded a Mail & Guardian Greening the Future Award 2024 in the category of Water and Oceans.
This recognition celebrates their efforts in advocating for the expansion of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) and their dedication during this yearโs MPA Day.
Asandiswa Nonyukela, Kwanele Khuzwayo, and Samkeliswe Danisa accepted the award on behalf of the youth group. โWorking alongside the youth has been incredibly rewarding, and we are honored to be recognized for this work,โ commented Nonyukela.
The future of youth advocacy and the recognition of young voices is indeed in safe hands, and we eagerly anticipate what these changemakers will contribute to conservation next year. This is a well-deserved win, concluding a season of remarkable achievements.
